Frequently Asked Questions
Short answers to what I get asked most.
If yours isn't here, email hello@dichiaradesigns.com -- a real person reads it, usually within a day or two.
Shipping and orders
-
Every item is made to order, so nothing sits on a shelf waiting.
Printing takes about 1-7 business days, then 3-5 business days in transit — so most orders arrive within 5-12 business days.
You'll get tracking as soon as yours goes out.
-
Order by Thursday, December 3, 2026 and your order should arrive by Christmas Eve.
That date builds in a cushion for December carrier delays.
After December 3 - I can't promise it, though plenty of orders will still make it.
-
Free within the United States.
International orders pay shipping at checkout.
-
Yes. Shipping is calculated at checkout, and delivery takes longer than the US estimate above.
-
You'll get a tracking email as soon as it ships.
If it hasn't arrived within two weeks of the estimated delivery date, email me and I'll open an investigation with the carrier.
If it's confirmed lost, I'll replace it at no cost.
Sizing, returns and exchanges
-
Check the size guide on the product page — those are real garment measurements, not general S/M/L guesses.
If you're between sizes or unsure, email me before you order.
I'd much rather spend five minutes helping you choose than have you end up with something that doesn't fit.
-
No. Because every item is made individually for your order, I can't accept returns or exchanges for size or preference.
I know that's not what anyone wants to read — which is why the size guides are there, and why I'm happy to help you pick before you buy.
-
I'll send you a replacement at no cost, and you don't need to ship the original back.
Email hello@dichiaradesigns.com within 21 days of delivery with your order number, a photo of the issue, and a photo of the product label inside the garment.
I'll take it from there.
-
No, same reason as returns. Made-to-order items can't be restocked.
The coloring books
-
Both exist, on different platforms:
Amazon — physical paperback books, shipped to you
Etsy — printable PDF downloads you print at home
Each book's page on this site links to whichever formats are available.
Buttons labeled Paperback go to Amazon; buttons labeled PDF go to Etsy.
-
Yes. Free printables are for personal, classroom and family use — print as many as you like for your own kids, students, or dog.
Please don't sell them, redistribute them, or include them in paid materials.
-
Buying a product gives you the item, not the design.

The products
-
Every item lists its exact blend on its own product page.
The short version:
Kids Tee - 100% cotton — Sport Grey is 90% cotton, 10% polyester
Kids Hoodie - 80% organic cotton, 20% recycled polyester — outside is 100% organic cotton
Heavyweight Tee - 100% ring-spun cotton
Long Sleeve Tee - 100% Airlume combed ring-spun cotton
Embroidered Dad Hat - 100% pre-shrunk cotton twill
Embroidered Beanie - 100% Turbo Acrylic
*On the Long Sleeve Tee, heather colors are blended rather than pure cotton: most heathers are 52% cotton / 48% polyester, and Athletic Heather and Black Heather are 90% cotton / 10% polyester.
-
It depends on whether the design is printed or embroidered.
Printed items - Kids Tee, Kids Hoodie, Heavyweight Tee. Machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle, with similar colors. Mild detergent, no fabric softener. Hang dry or tumble dry on low. If you iron, use a cool iron inside out and never iron directly on the design.
Embroidered items - Long Sleeve Tee. Machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle, mild detergent. Don't wring it out or leave it sitting in a wet pile. Tumble dry on cool air. Iron inside out, ideally between two cloths, and don't steam the embroidery.
The Dad Hat - Hand wash only, in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, no bleach. Don't machine wash it, tumble dry it, or iron it.
The Beanie - Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, reshape it while damp, and lay it flat to dry. Skip the dryer — acrylic doesn't like heat, and hanging it wet will stretch it out.
-
Yes, if you wash cold.
The print soaks into the fabric rather than sitting on top as a layer, so it won't crack or peel the way a heat-pressed transfer can — it fades slowly with heat and friction, which is exactly why cold water and low heat matter.
Embroidery is stitched thread, so it outlasts the print entirely; what needs protecting there is the garment around the stitching, not the stitching itself.
-
Yes, email hello@dichiaradesigns.com and I'll help you sort it out.
There's no automatic bulk discount, but I'd much rather talk it through than have you guess at sizes and dates on your own.
One thing to know up front: every item is made to order, so a class set needs about three weeks before the day you need it.
-
Not at the moment.
Your order goes straight from the printing facility to you and never passes through my hands, so there's no point along the way where I could add wrapping or tuck in a note.
The upside is that it keeps prices down and gets it to you faster.
-
Yes. Nothing is printed until you order it, which is why production takes a few days and why there's less waste.
It also means small variations in placement and color are normal — that's how made-to-order printing works, not a defect.
Anything else
