Privacy Policy

DiChiara Designs is a small independent business, and this policy explains plainly what information I collect, why, and who else sees it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@dichiaradesigns.com and I'll answer.
Who's responsible for your information
DiChiara Designs is the data controller for information collected through dichiaradesigns.com. That means I'm accountable for it, and I'm your point of contact for any question about it.
What I collect
If you place an order: your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number if you provide one, and what you ordered. Payment card details go directly to the payment processor — I never see or store your card number.
If you create an account: an email address and password, plus any shipping address or payment method you choose to save. Squarespace stores your password securely — I never see it, and I can't retrieve it.
If you sign up for emails or download a free printable: your email address, and your name if you give it.
If you just visit: standard analytics information — pages viewed, approximate location based on IP address, browser and device type, how you arrived, and how long you stayed.
If you email me: whatever you write, and your email address.
I don't collect sensitive information, and I don't ask for anything I don't need.
Why I collect it
To fulfill and ship your order, send order confirmations and shipping updates, answer your questions, send you email if you asked for it, and understand which parts of the site are useful so I can improve them.
Who else sees your information
I'm a one-person business and rely on a few services to operate. Each one only receives what it needs:
Squarespace — hosts this website, processes payments, and sends every email I send, including free-printable delivery and newsletters. Order and payment data, and your email address if you subscribed.
Printful — prints and ships every physical product. Receives your name, shipping address, email, and order details so your package can reach you. Printful does not market to you and does not use your information for their own purposes.
Chatling — powers the chat assistant in the corner of this site. Receives whatever you type into the chat window, plus basic technical information about your visit. The assistant is automated, not a person, and it only answers from what's published on this site. Please don't enter payment details or passwords in the chat.
Mailchimp — stores the subscriber list built from free printable downloads. Email address and name. Mailchimp holds this list; it does not send my email.
Google Analytics — anonymous site usage statistics. No names, no order details.
Microsoft Clarity — anonymous information about how pages are used.
I do not sell your personal information, and I never will. I don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else not listed above, except where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies for essential functions like keeping your cart working, and for anonymous analytics that show me which pages people find useful. There are no advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, and no cross-site tracking on this site. If that ever changes, this policy will change with it and I'll add a consent option. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics cookies won't affect your ability to shop.
If you subscribe, you'll receive occasional emails about new books, products, and free printables. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.
You'll also receive transactional emails about any order you place — confirmations and shipping notices. Those aren't marketing and can't be unsubscribed from separately.
Children's privacy
DiChiara Designs makes products for children, but this site is intended for adults — parents, teachers, caregivers, and gift-buyers. It isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given me their information, email hello@dichiaradesigns.com and I'll delete it.
How long I keep things
Order information is kept as long as needed for tax and business records. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Account information is kept until you ask me to delete your account. Analytics data expires on a rolling basis.
Your choices
Whatever state or country you're in, you can ask me to:
Tell you what information I hold about you
Correct anything wrong
Delete your information, where I'm not required to keep it
Unsubscribe from marketing email
Receive a copy of your information
Email hello@dichiaradesigns.com and I'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge, and asking won't change how you're treated. Some order records must be kept for tax purposes even after a deletion request. I'll tell you if that applies.
Security
Payments are processed over encrypted connections by established payment providers. Card details never touch my systems. No system is perfectly secure, but I don't hold more of your information than necessary, which is the best protection I can offer.
Links to other sites
This site links to Amazon, Etsy, and social platforms. Those have their own privacy policies, and I'd encourage you to read them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
